Don't really have a topic to talk about, once again. I just feel like writing.
I saw my best friend of 10 years today :) she had been at college down in South Carolina so it felt really good to see her. I always have worries and doubts about whether or not I'll get to see her. I mean I know that she loves me, I really do. But sometimes it just feels like I'm not as important to her as she is to me. But that's probably just because I'm not used to her being away at school. And I mean don't get me wrong I want her to have friends other than me and all that jazz, I just wish sometimes that she would treat me the way I treat her. Like it's completely clear that she is my best friend and that I love her with all of my heart and always will. It's apparent that she's a top priority of mine. And it's not always the same way with her. But that's okay. I'm just glad to have her as my best friend :)
Nothing else much has happened recently. I got into college, as I already posted about... I started a tumblr! It's super addicting. Someone told me that I'm not supposed to tell people about my tumblr? Or something? I don't know. Whatever. Check it out if you want: shesajunkieformusic.tumblr.com That link could change, but for now that's what it is.
My life is pretty boring recently. Except for getting into college :) but other than that, nothing ever really happens. Which I guess is okay. Sometimes I wish that something crazy would happen though, just for some excitement. Eh. Whatever.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. This post is pretty pointless, but like I said I just felt like writing. I had some time to kill before my friend picks me up to go out, so I figured I'd write.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I....
GOT INTO COLLEGE!
I applied Early Decision to High Point University and just found out tonight that I got in!! Ahhhhhh!!!
I'm a Panther now!

I'm a Panther now!
Cady Groves... I want to be you.
"You're the match to my candle, you're the scrape to my knee.
And you're what makes it better than better could ever be."
Ah....
...Someday.
And you're what makes it better than better could ever be."
Ah....
...Someday.
Can't get more accurate than this
I know I just posted. So what. Sue me.
I had to post and just say how perfect this song is for my life and how I'm feeling right now.... Ah. Joshua Radin.
"But when the sun hits your eyes through your window, there'll be nothing you can do. I could've treated you better, better than this. Well, I'm gone, this song's your letter, I can't stay in one place..."
And some days...
...all I do is watch the sky.
I don't know why, but recently I get this craving to just write. To sit outside on a blanket with my iPod and a journal and just write. All I want to do is sit outside under the blue (or perhaps gray) sky and write all of my thoughts down and never stop. Lately it feels like I'm swimming through wet cement.... I don't know why. I'm not unhappy. In fact, I'm the farthest thing from unhappy. I'm completely satisfied with my life. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed. Who knows.
I'm sitting in my cubicle at work, and I really should be working, but who even does that anymore. That seems to be my catchphrase recently... "who even does that anymore?" I'm not sure why I say that so often. Maybe it's because I'm not really sure where I'm going in life at this point. Yeah, I get good grades, applied to the college of my dreams, and have a summer job (slash a job I can work at during school vacations) that pays well. But where am I going....
Well I guess maybe I'm exaggerating. I don't feel that lost. I just have so many things running through my brain constantly that I don't know how to grab them all. I'm constantly contemplating my future, where I'm going to be in ten years, what I'll be doing... there's just SO much happening right now, and it's all so fast, I just feel overwhelmed by the sweeping undertow of it all.
Thank goodness I'm home though. Thanksgiving break was certainly a much-needed escape from the always-moving atmosphere at KUA. Whenever I'm there I just feel like a blur, rushing through each day to get through to the next break. It always feels like our vacations are too far away, and that home is so close and yet so far. And then I get home, and even though I love my home with all my heart, all I want to do is travel and get away.
I miss home when I'm gone, and yet when I'm home all I want to do is get on a plane and go.
And thank goodness for Ron Pope. His music speaks so much truth...
"There's a great big world out there and I wanna see it
There's a great big world out there and there's a place for me in it
Though I'll miss my mother and the friends I know
The light burns out if you wait too long
There's a great big world I see and it's waiting out there for me..."
